Washington Post shutting more bureaus

This is old news, posted Sept. 1, but it illustrates that problems with staffing are not confined to the local product.

National Review's media blogger Patrick Brennan writes,

"(this....) is yet another disturbing sign for one of the nation’s most prominent papers.

"The Post will maintain just two offices for local affairs, in Richmond and Annapolis. Local editor Vernon Loeb has promised “never” to close those offices, but time will tell."
