I have goes to writers who get themselves published, and thus make a difference with words. To create is to make something where nothing was. This deeply interior work takes so much discipline, perserverance and talent.

Hence congratulations to winners of the best books of Indiana as garnered by the Indiana State Library:

And especially warm regards to my former colleague and friend John Hawn, former features copy desk chief of the Indianapolis Star. He writes under J.L. Kato, and he is one of four "Best Books of Indiana" winners for his book of poetry, "Shadows Set in Concrete." He also gives his thanks to Restoration Press.

Also, way to go to the others cited. Impressive.
