More on Y-Press

Dateline: Thu 18 Nov 2010

The word is that Y-Press needs $12K to keep the doors open through the end of this year.

Grants have been applied for, and Y-Press may know Friday -- today -- if any of those have come through.

Bureau director Lynn Sygiel has taken a pay cut, and one staff member has had hours cut, in order to make ends meet.

This all hinges on grants coming through, since the not-for-profit needs to fiinish the year in the black.

As for contacting the board, that would be the board of Y-Press, but it seems as if all emergency measures that can be taken are being taken.  It would be lovely if a philanthropist swooped down and saved the day. Let's see what happens....

Are they properly registered as a 501(c)3? The tax deduction thing is important to some as they make year-end giving plans.
