Relative to the high cost of dying in the Indianapolis Star -- we're talking about obit prices here -- this just in:

"When Robin Miller's father died last month, at the calling, in typical Robin fashion, in that loud voice, peppered with his usual language, he pointed out that the casket he purchased cost less than the obit that ran in the Star."

Miller, of course, was a well-known Star sports and auto racing columnist and a veteran newspaperman. He quit when -- in his words -- the corporate c---s------ came to town.

He's doing just fine now, thanks.
