That's deebonner.com

Dateline: Mon 26 May 2008

Thanks to friend/writer Jim Hall, who pointed out that a recent post here contained a slippery little period at the end of the website where Hall's work appears.

The correct site is

http://www.deebonner.com/

Lots of good reading and editorial cartoons on deebonner.com, in part because Dennis J (Dee) Bonner is "a freelance cartoonist and illustrator whose work has appeared in newspapers, periodicals, trade publications, books and advertisements."

According to Bonner's bio, his cartoons have "been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Newspaper Association and Bonner has twice been named Indiana's 'Best Cartoonist' by the Hoosier State Press Association.

"On the other hand, Bonner's work has been called silly, foolish, ignorant, crude, stupid, shameful, subversive and incomprehensible. In addition, Bonner has personally been cursed, berated, defamed, blamed, maligned, vilified and slandered."

Our kind of guy.

As for Hall, he's a "half crazy, half visionary" writer who formerly worked for the Greencastle Banner Graphic, the Shelbyville News and the Star Metro South bureau.

Hall is also supporting Obama, and some of his musings about trying to get the candidate recognized in Shelby County are great. He also writes about the enduring topic: life in the sticks.

So when you get the urge to wander, check it out:
