Lou Harry lands on his feet (again)

Dateline: Thu 31 May 2007

The prolific and talented Lou Harry has hired on with Indianapolis Business Journal to provide arts coverage -- an idea the biz weekly has been toying with for some time.

Harry interviewed at the Star many years ago, before the G-men came to town; it didn't work out at the time, which was the Star's loss, but the guy went on to work everywhere else: Indianapolis Monthly and later the now-closed Indy Men's Magazine. He also writes books and contributes to numerous arts-oriented pubs.

God knows, the arts community is a solid and going concern in Indy. It's also big business, or medium-sized business. IBJ has used stringers and free-lancers in the past to boost its coverage, but hiring a fulltime arts and entertainment editor is a great move.

Congrats all round.
